O2 Intercontinental Hotel, London
This £30 million project, by Balfour Beatty, needed architectural ironmongery that would keep to the high standards of the hotel owners, the Arora Group.
Our original involvement was by costing the specification at the tender stage. It was apparent that a joined up and fully connected door and hardware system was required by the client, rather than individual elements. Working with the client Grove Developments and the Architects, Unum we were able to bring our knowledge to bear covering the back of house front of house and bedroom areas whilst having a fully coordinated master key and access control system to this 5-star hotel, and sister hotel to the Sofitel Hotel at Terminal 5 at Heathrow.
Supplying hardware also to the adjoining apartment block, the site covering over 18 floors, gives a towering presence over the nearby O2 Arena.
Working with Errigal Contracts and supplying over 600 doors, our package included – door hardware, access control and security products.
Our door scheduling service lead to us supplying structured supply packages and call offs to this busy construction site.
